About Ted:
Hi, I’m Ted Richards and I wear guernsey number 25. I used to play for Essendon but in 2005 I was traded to the Sydney Swans.
I grew up in Melbourne, and normally play in defence however I have been known to sneak forward on occasions and kick a couple of goals. My favourite training drill is one-on-one competitive marking - I love a good contest.
My earliest football memory was going to see Essendon play St Kilda at Moorabbin Oval when I was a young kid, and the best football decision I have ever made is to move to the Swans - I love it here!
If I wasn’t playing AFL professionally I would like to think I’d be playing soccer as I love playing and watching it. But being realistic I think I would be more successful in backyard cricket.
The night before a game, my favourite meal is any type of pasta followed by a Chomp chocolate bar.
One thing about me that you may not know is that I used to learn Danish – “Ga Svaner”, this means go swans! |
